Electrical Group Training is the largest employer of electrical apprentices in Western Australia.
The brief
Electrical Group Training (EGT) came to us with a clear goal. They wanted to grow their network of apprentices and host employers across Western Australia. To make that happen, they needed a stronger presence online and a way to attract the right people through organic search and paid media channels.
As one of five brands under the Electrotechnology Training Institute (ETI), EGT’s new website also had to fit within a shared content management system. ETI needed all brand websites to be managed through a single, flexible Umbraco setup. The challenge was to create a site that felt uniquely EGT, while still aligning with the structure and functionality used across the wider organisation.
Our solution
We designed and developed EGT’s new website as part of ETI’s broader multisite Umbraco solution. This approach allows each brand to manage their content independently while keeping everything streamlined under one CMS. The EGT site now provides a clean, modern experience that’s easy to update and built to support long-term growth.
Since launch, we’ve also managed EGT’s digital marketing activity, including both paid media and organic search. From Google Ads campaigns to ongoing SEO work, our focus is on helping EGT reach more apprentices and host employers, and connect them with the training and opportunities they’re looking for.

Making it easier to work out apprentice costs
Hiring an apprentice should feel exciting, not confusing. With different government funding options and multiple types of electrical apprentices, it can be tricky for host employers to work out the true cost.
We built an interactive calculator that takes the guesswork out of it. By asking a few simple questions about the type of apprentice you’re looking to hire, the tool runs the numbers behind the scenes and returns a clear, tailored cost estimate. No spreadsheets. No stress.

Driving organic growth post website migration
EGT’s old website already had strong organic visibility, built on a trusted brand and established domain authority. So, when it came time to launch a new site, protecting page-one rankings for competitive terms like electrical apprentices and electrical apprenticeship was critical.
Through our proven, data-driven migration process, we not only safeguarded those rankings but set the stage for growth. Since launch, EGT has seen a 71% increase in organic visitors, with ongoing SEO efforts continuing to drive greater brand visibility and long-term search performance.

Delivering efficiency and performance with Google Ads
EGT’s Google Ads campaigns were already delivering leads, but the cost efficiency and conversion performance left plenty of room for improvement. We took a data-driven approach to restructure the account, refine keyword targeting, and optimise ad copy to better align with user intent.
The results speak for themselves: a 93% reduction in cost per conversion, allowing EGT to generate significantly more leads for the same investment. On top of that, we achieved an 18% increase in conversion rate across paid search campaigns, ensuring more of the right people were engaging with EGT’s message and taking action.
By focusing on both efficiency and effectiveness, we transformed Google Ads from a functional channel into a high-performing growth driver, maximising EGT’s marketing spend and supporting their long-term business goals.
